The Mooresville Kiwanis Club is now accepting applications to be included in our annual Taste of Mooresville giving program. Each year 1/3 of the net proceeds is given to Riley Hospital for Children, 1/3 remains in the community through small donations and 1/3 is given to a deserving charity in Mooresville or Morgan County. In the past this has been chosen based on current need, however because of the extensive needs in our community this year, an application process has been developed.
In order to be considered as our 1/3 charity, you must submit a letter of request to the Mooresville Kiwanis Club.
The letter should include the name of the organization, your contact information, the number of kids who will be served with this donation, the reason the funds are necessary to your group and how they will be utilized and any individuals from your organization who would be willing to serve on the Taste of Mooresville committee.
Previous donations have been made to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Morgan County and the Morgan County League of Miracles in amounts ranging from $3,000 to $5,000. In order to receive the donation, you must serve the Mooresville population and agree to assist on the committee for the event.
Please send all requests via email to kmann@citizens-banking.com by Friday July 17th. Entries received after the
17th will not be considered. Entries will be reviewed by a panel and final decisions will be made by July 24th.
The winner will be contacted and posted in the Mooresville Times.
