Mooresville Kiwanis Flood Drive a Success!
June 14, 2008
Despite the continuous rain on Friday, June 13th until the end of the drive at 2:00 p.m. we were able to collect an entire trailer FULL of items to donate to the flood victims. We had at least 20 donors that brought bags and bags of clothes, microwaves, tv’s, diapers, food, toys, furniture, cleaning supplies, water, and many other necessities for everyday living including monetary donations from passer-bys of approximately $400-over half of that came from Alexander Insurance.
Kari Mann, President of Mooresville Kiwanis, organized the drive. Mooresville Kiwanians; Kelly Overton, Zack Overton, Alicia Overton, Jeff Pipkin, Pat Cuccharia, Mrs. Todd Henning, and myself, Nicki Laycoax, showed up to accept the donations.
Thank you to the very supportive Mooresville area residents for showing your dedication to the lives our neighbors. Your generosity is appreciated.
For those that were unable to make it to this drive, there are several drop-off locations;
